From Cave Shake to Space Shake: How ‘Shark Tank’ Transformed This Keto-Friendly Startup

Cave Shake, now rebranded as Space Shake, is a keto-friendly meal replacement shake that gained attention after its appearance on “Shark Tank” in 2018.

As of 2024, Cave Shake’s net worth is estimated at $10 million, with an annual revenue of $3 million.

Created by Holly Heath and Billie Cavallaro, the product offers a convenient, low-carb option for those following the ketogenic diet.

The shake is made from coconut milk and is vegan, paleo, gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free. It aims to provide a quick and healthy snack alternative that fits within the keto diet’s guidelines.

During their “Shark Tank” pitch, the founders asked for $250,000 in exchange for 10% equity, valuing their company at $2.5 million.

Despite the initial hesitation from most Sharks due to their existing partnership with beverage incubator LA Libations, they ultimately struck a deal with guest Shark Charles Barkley. Barkley invested $250,000 for 20% equity, believing in the product’s potential and the founders’ passion.

Since the show, Cave Shake has rebranded to Space Shake, expanded its product line, and is now available in various retail locations, including Whole Foods.

Despite these changes and some challenges in the crowded nutritional drink market, Space Shake continues to operate and offers its products through its website and Amazon.
