Jessica Erin Lane Coleman, beloved wife, mother, and daughter, passed away at the age of 36 on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
Her passing has left a profound impact on her family and community, with many remembering her for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those around her.
Born on January 26, 1988, in Lexington, Kentucky, Jessica grew up with strong family values instilled by her parents, Tony and Rhonda Baker Lane.
Jessica’s life was centered around her family. She was the loving wife of Kyle Coleman, with whom she shared her life in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
Together, they raised three daughters, Makenna Kaye, Mia Grace, and Kylee Jo, who were the light of Jessica’s life.
Friends and family remember Jessica as a devoted mother who prioritized her children in every aspect of her life. “Jessica was always there for her girls, ensuring they were loved and supported,” a family member shared.
Her family’s love and support extended beyond her immediate household. Jessica was close with her parents, Tony and Rhonda Lane, and her sister, Chelsea Hartley, with whom she shared many cherished moments.
She also maintained close relationships with her grandparents, Wayne and Roberta Baker, and Dana Lane, and was adored by her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Her in-laws, Steve and Donna Coleman, along with her brother-in-law Sam Coleman, were also an integral part of her life.
The community gathered on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, to celebrate Jessica’s life at Sand Springs Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg.
Pastor Mike Hamrick, who officiated the service, spoke about Jessica’s deep faith and her involvement in the church.
He recalled her warmth, her quiet strength, and the countless lives she touched through her acts of kindness and service.
After the service, Jessica was laid to rest at Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles, Kentucky. The burial was a somber yet heartfelt moment, as family and close friends served as pallbearers.
Among them were Dave Moore, Lane Moore, Ronald Baker, Ben Hartley, Sam Coleman, Jon Loman, Loren Wells, and Bobby Murphy, all of whom carried her to her final resting place with love and respect.
Jessica was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Wayne Lane; her sister-in-law, Jessica Coleman; and her cousin, Steven Baker.
Though her passing leaves a void in the lives of her loved ones, her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to resonate with those she touched.
In the days following her death, an outpouring of support flooded in from friends and community members who remembered Jessica for her caring spirit and selfless nature. “She was the kind of person who never hesitated to help others,” a friend recalled. “Her heart was so big, and she always put her family and friends first.”
